Today Melissa and I left the girls with Mamaw and Papaw Ron. The girls did not have a nap and ended up arriving at Mamaw's house really tired. So they went up stairs and laid in bed with papaw. After about a half our they got up and played outside on the swingset, then ended up getting a bath and playing inside.
While this was going on Melissa and I took off in the van and went up north to visit with 2 other triplet parents. Both to get some clothes.. With 3 little girls, we always seem to need new or different clothes to wear. Especially, so that we can have stuff that is clean for them. We also was given 2 used car seats that can be used as an extra set if necessary and also to assist when the girls start going to preschool next month. (Melissa babysits a 2 year old that she will need to take with her to drop off and pick up the girls from school.) Anyway, it was very nice to get out of the house. Melissa surprised me by stopping at Starbucks to pickup a carmel Macciato. YUM.
Right now, we are watching a recording of the chinese start of the 2008 Olympics. This is probably the first time that I have seen the opening of any Olympics on TV. I must say it has been pretty interesting. With the 2008 drummers to the caligraphy painting and the other performances, I am impressed. We are recording all events of this to show the girls. I think that they will love the Gymnastics as well as some of the other sports. My only fear is that they will fall in love with it and want to learn it themselves. That is something that we would not be able to fund.
Before I sign off today. I want to ask everyone to keep a little girl in your thoughts and prayers. Little Erica is a triplet friend of ours that is preparing to have a brain operation. I know from talking with the mother that this is something that is quite scary for all. This little girl has been having some developmental problems and has also been having seisures. They are hoping that this will allow her brain to create new tissue that may fix some of the problems that she has been having. However, with any surgery, there could be complications.
Take care and have a great weekend.

Scott,
ReplyDeleteGot your comment on my blog this morning. Took me a minute to put two and two together on who "Scott" was! Thanks for keeping tabs on us and for the encouragement.
We know Erica's family, and they have been much in our prayers lately.
