Halloween, a visit to the camper, and medical updates

The girls thoroughly enjoyed Halloween this year and they did a very nice job of trick-or-treating. They went to the doors by themselves while mommy and daddy waited on the sidewalk for them. They said trick or treat (or Happy Halloween) and thank you almost every time. They weren't scared of the older kids with skeleton costumes or Freddie Kruger or things like that. It went surprisingly well except for daddy's poor ankle (more about that later).

Madison was dressed as Tinkerbell.

Emily was Cinderella.

Alexa was Aurora (Sleeping beauty).
Madison really wanted to be Snow White, but we didn't have a deluxe Snow white costume that compared to the ones that Emily and Alexa were wearing, so Madison happily agreed to be Tinkerbell for the night. The picture below is Madison at her school Halloween party doing her craft for the day and wearing her Snow White dress up clothes.
Last weekend we spent the day at Papaw Bob and Mamaw Kathy's camper. We played at the playground, rode the golf cart around, played in the leaves, and visited with lots of family. Papaw was installing a lower handrail on the steps and Alexa was the first to ask to help because she wanted to use "Phillipe" (the screwdriver from the Handy Manny cartoon). Each of the girls took a turn helping papaw and below is a picture of Emily proudly holding the screwdriver.

Alexa LOVES wearing papaw's cowboy hat. She has a hard time seeing when she wears it, but it doesn't stop her at all.

The girls had a blast sliding down the ravine, playing with the leaves and running up and down the hills. Needless to say they slept on the drive home!

Now on to the medical updates... Madison's doctor talked with a neurologist and whatever it was that they saw in the CT scan was nothing to worry about. WHEW!! I love it when we get good news! Daddy went today for a MRI of his ankle since the swelling won't go away and he's still in quite a bit of pain. He's still not driving himself to work, but he is walking on it a lot more (more than he should be in my opinion). Hopefully we will hear back from the doctor in the next couple of days with the results of his MRI.
