Vacation around the corner!

Less than a week to go until our trip to Disney World. The girls are so excited and were asking us every single day if it was time to leave for Disney yet. It got to the point where I finally decided to make a calendar to put on the wall so they could count down the days. It has helped them a lot. I don't know what part of the trip they are most excited about...their first airplane ride? Seeing the characters at Disney world? Riding the rides at the parks? Staying at "the hotel" and getting to sleep in bunk beds for the first time? Their first boat ride? The princess makeover their cousin Tabitha is treating them to? There is definitely a lot to be excited about!!Although I said I would probably never fly on a plane (not because I'm scared...I just truely have no desire to ever fly), I decided that I would much rather get to Florida in 2 hours than to spend 4 days of our vacation (roundtrip) driving there and back. Last year we drove to Florida to pick up my grandma and bring her home. While we were in Florida, we spent 2 days at Disney World and a couple hours at New Smyrna beach. Although it was nice, it left me immediately wanting more because during our 6 day vacation, we spent 4 days driving and had to squeeze as much as possible into 2 days. Since I didn't get my fill of Disney World last year (and the girls didn't either) I knew I wanted to go back again this year if we could afford to. I also knew that I wanted to spend more than 2 days at Disney, so it just made sense to fly instead of driving so that we could make the most of our vacation. Although it was hard to justify spending SO much money on airfare, I decided that it was worth it if it helped us have a more enjoyable vacation. Thank goodness for our tax refund, or we would NEVER be able to afford a trip like this. (Yes, Scott, I know you think there are better ways to use/save our refund but I'm glad you agreed for us to spend it on a vacation this year!!)We plan to take lots of pictures this year and it will be fun to experience so many "firsts" with the girls. I'm looking forward to it!!
