School & boyfriends

Just wanted to write a quick post and mention the girls' kindergarten boyfriends. It's something I didn't want to forget, and unless I write these things down they often easily slip my mind. Early in the school year, I turned the corner in the cafeteria to see Alexa standing in the lunch line hugging one of her male classmates. I asked her what they were doing and she said "hugging Bryson, mom. he likes hugs". Okay... A few weeks later, the girls started coming home and telling me that Landyn wants to come to our house/us to go to his house. I'm pretty sure it was Emily who first mentioned it, but Madison was also asking often so it's hard to say which girl he's more interested in. I asked the girls if Landyn was their boyfriend and all three of them said yes. Uh huh. We were leaving school just a few days ago and Mrs. Rose saw Madison blow a kiss to her classmate Emanuel. She was a little embarrassed when Mrs. Rose said something to her about it, but she made no attempt to deny it! A couple weeks ago, Nathaniel O. brought Madison a toy G.I. Joe figurine because she was talking about how much she liked the movie Toy Story (and Woody) and she said she didn't have one of those figurines so he wanted to give her one. Madison has also mentioned that maybe she wants Logan to be her boyfriend (the bad boy in class). Yikes - dating years should be fun! The girls don't just talk about boys...they talk about all the friends in their class. They talk about the twins (Alexis and Andrew) in their class almost daily. They also talk about Audra and Lisa often. Of course Wesley E. was a frequent topic of discussion early in the year because he has leg braces, walks with a walker, has frequent potty accidents, etc. I just think it's funny to mention the boys/boyfriends because it's more memorable. I may not remember much about my kindergarten class, but I sure do remember my kindergarten boyfriend (Eddie W.) and our first kiss! I hope the girls stick with hugging the boys or blowing kisses....I'm not ready to hear about them kissing boys yet!!!
