My babies turned 5 on last month. I can not believe it. They are on their way to womanhood. Though, I will keep them as my little princesses forever. Only a prince better ask to get involved with them.
The girls’ party was great. We had 3 princess cakes, one for each girl, and one sheet cake. Melissa baked all three. We also had ice cream, hotdogs, chips, potato salad, nacho cheese and meat sauce for hotdogs and chips, and fruit. We had a pool and play area set up for all of the kids.
The following day, we met with 3 other children at the hospital NICU that all were born and cared for. We all had become good friends. Following the hospital visit we celebrated their birthday at a local funzone. Baja bowling, water canon boats, and arcades.
The girls have had their 5 year old shots (OUCH!). Thank you, Grandma Bertie, for being there to hold and love on them girls afterward. While at the doctor he mentioned that he didn’t really think that the girls should start kindergarten this year. Not because of their level of maturity or education, but due to the fact that they are usually a foot shorter than the standard height of girls their same age. He stated that this could cause a problem with them emotionally later on in life when others are faced with their teenage years as beign the shortest and youngest in their class. I think we will probably be sending the girls to school anyway as they are begging to go back to school.
Good bye babies, hello big girls.
Mommy and Daddy loves you!
