Since the girls are no longer in school, they didn't get to experience the whole Valentine's day card swap. That's why I was quite surprised to get an envelope in the mail with their name on it from one of their former classmates, and even more suprising was that it was from a boy!
Apparently Brent was quite fond of the girls and was very sad because they don't go to school anymore. His mom said he talks a lot about "Lexie". She also said it was a difficult transition for him when they left (poor thing, that's so sweet!) and that he really wanted to give them Valentine's cards because he didn't think it was fair that they wouldn't get any. He insisted that his mom mail them to us and asked her to tell the girls the following: "I miss them. I want to tell them all about the papers we did. Can they come play one day? They should call me."
How sweet is that?? Of course the girls called him last night and talked to him on the phone. He invited the girls over to his house and naturally the girls want to go. His mom and I plan to get the kids together sometime soon.

ReplyDeleteDidn't think I would need to start cleaning the shotgun this soon. Dang it, these darn kids grow up so fast.
