Christmas funnies...

I just wanted to share with you some of the funny things the girls have said this Christmas. Out of the mouths of babes...

Since the girls only ever want to listen to the Chipmunks Christmas songs, some of the words are hard for them to hear correctly. Emily absolutely refuses to believe me when I tell her the chipmunks are singing "silver bells" and she insists that the chipmunks sing "silver bands".

Madison has her own version of the song "All I want...is my two front teeth". The part where it says "sister Susie sitting on a thistle" she insists the chipmunks say "sister Susie sitting on a hippo".

(To completely understand this one, you have to have seen the new Chipmunk movie.) While we were out shopping the other day I asked the girls if they would like me to buy them some Christmas socks. They of course said yes. I couldn't find any at the time, but the next day I found some and brought them home for them. At first they looked at them oddly until I explained that the Christmas socks I was referring to were to wear on their feet and not stockings to be hung for presents. They happily put them on and went about playing. Later, Emily comes up to me and tells me she wants to hang her socks up. When I explain again that these socks are for her feet she says she needs to hang them up so she can get "sayzings bons". After she repeated it a few times, we realized she was saying she wanted savings bonds (like the Chipmunks got on the movie).

Kids say the silliest things!!
